Luckie Hires Teresa Caro as V.P. of Strategy & Planning

ATLANTA and BIRMINGHAM – Dec. 6, 2019 – One of the region’s top strategic marketers has joined Luckie as the firm’s new vice president of strategy and planning.

With more than 25 years of digital and integrated marketing experience working in agencies, as an entrepreneur, and on the client side, Teresa Caro has been tapped to expand and lead Luckie’s strategy and planning group. Caro will work across the agency, bringing her expertise in business strategy, brand management, research and analytics, consumer behavior, and lifecycle marketing to guide strategic direction for the agency’s client engagements.

“Filling this role completes our new management structure and I couldn’t envision a better fit than Teresa,” said John Gardner, president of Luckie. “She is a concise thinker, very comfortable working with data, and is passionate about dissecting brand DNA and customer journeys to solve business problems. Our partners will benefit from her experience and approach.”

Caro joins the company this month and is the fourth senior executive hired by Luckie in 2019, following the agency’s acquisition of a new creative director, a marketing technology VP, and a vice president of business intelligence & analytics. The agency has also hired two creative directors and a director of content in the last 16 months.

Prior to joining Luckie, Caro most recently worked as senior vice president of marketing at consumer credit company, Atlanticus. She held agency leadership positions at Engauge (through their sale to Moxie) and Razorfish (now called Publicis.Sapient). Caro also worked in top marketing roles at KnowledgeStorm (acquired by TechTarget) and RealEstate.com prior to running her own virtual agency focused on retail, financial services, and tech companies.

Caro earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Villanova University and an MBA from Georgia State University. She volunteered for the Global Retail Marketing Association’s C-Suite Forum, is a UGA Digital Marketing Coach and an Honors Mentor for Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Caro resides in John’s Creek.
