Joe Snowden, Chief Growth Officer

ATLANTA and BIRMINGHAM – February 19, 2020 – Marketing solutions firm Luckie announced today that Joe Snowden has joined the agency as Chief Growth Officer, a new role focused on business development, marketing, and growth strategies.

Snowden has 30 years’ experience in agency management. He founded McRae Communications in 1990 and grew it into one of the top 10 independent marketing firms in Atlanta by 2000. He subsequently served as a marketing executive with TenCate Grass and most recently worked as chief strategy officer at DEVENEY, an integrated marketing firm based in New Orleans.

Snowden will lead Luckie’s business development and growth efforts, driving marketing strategy and innovation to escalate revenue and expand the agency’s footprint in the Southeast. He is also tasked with identifying new lines of service that create impact for current and future clients.

For the past 24 months, Luckie has been expanding its management team, bringing in senior level executives from top agencies and global brands to fill positions in its creative, marketing technology, business intelligence & analytics, content, and planning departments.  The agency was recognized nationally in 2019 as one of the top marketing firms for the pharmaceuticals industry by Pharma Tech Outlook and won international recognition for digital work with the U.S. Civil Rights Trail/Alabama Tourism Department.

“Joe’s been on the growth side of agency management for many years, so he has the right lens to look across Luckie for growth pathways and market opportunities,” said John Gardner, president of Luckie. “We’ve been quietly building one of the brightest and most talented teams in the business and we are ready to show more companies what a data-first approach to marketing can achieve.”

Snowden will also lead the firm’s community outreach in Atlanta, Birmingham and the Southeast. He has been active with civic and professional organizations across Georgia for the last two decades and has held board positions with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and the Atlanta Chapter of the American Association of Advertising Agencies.

Snowden is a graduate of Florida State University and serves on the Board of Advisors for its College of Communications. He and his family reside in Suwanee.
