The Alabama Humanities Foundation (AHF) recently named LUCKIE Managing Director Ed Mizzell to the nonprofit organization’s board of directors for a three-year term.

Mizzell joins the AHF board as one of 25 individuals who jointly oversee the activities of the organization. Based in Birmingham, AHF fosters learning, understanding and appreciation for people, communities and cultures across Alabama. The governor appoints six board members, and the other 19 members are elected to the organization. Mizzell was nominated by board chair Trey Granger, chief deputy clerk of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, and board member Ann Florie who is the past executive director of Leadership Birmingham.

Mizzell joined Birmingham-based LUCKIE in 1981. In his current role as managing director, Mizzell guides LUCKIE operations and serves on the company’s board of directors. Mizzell is an active member of the Birmingham Sunrise Rotary Club and is a resident of English Village in Mountain Brook.
